Father’s Day at Adventureland

Happy Monday! I’ve said that a lot today. It was a good gym day, the sun is out, and I’ll be swimming later while L is at summer camp. AND it’s derby day!

Anywho, YESTERDAY was Father’s Day. We went out to Dothan to meet some friends at Adventureland. I have never been there before but it did have T and I singing the Golf N Stuff theme song all morning (if you’re from Tucson you know what Im talking about…) It’s a lot smaller than Golf N Stuff but still seemed fun. We only had about an hour to kill before we had to run to Sams and get back to Eprise so we only did the go karts and arcade (and FOOD). It ended up only being the boys on the go karts though.

Timmy seemed pretty excited about his Mario Kart race. They pulled in first when the time was up so he was REALLY happy that they won first place.

After they were done we went in to play games. Holy expensive games, Batman!

I feel like most of the games were 2-4 or more tokens to place. Redonkulous. I miss Peter Piper Pizza and the game we could play with pennies…even though we werent supposed to…

Also, I feel like all they wanted to do was play racing games. No fun. I want TICKETS.

We did end up at ski ball though. I love ski ball. And it gave us some tickets!

TICKETS! I love prizes. They make me think of high school. We’d pile our tickets on the counter and say “We want THIS many rubber fish.” Pretty sure the little rubber fish were 5 tickets a piece. We had a. ton. And we named them and wore them on necklaces…yeah. Anyway. We only had 60 tickets and the kids wanted bouncy balls and suckers. And I got a finger trap with our last few tickets.

Ha! Good times. Until of the kids hulks their way out of it and it breaks. Timmy almost did.
